The Kittens weekend end got off to a fyler when andree walkin took to the blackwaters of fermoy to record her first poduim of the season, with second place overall in the blackwater triathlon.

Andree has been banging on the poduim door all season and has shown great leaps forward in all 3 tri disciplines and is coming into great form ahead of the triathlon world champs in budapest no doubt she will do herself and all at limerick tri proud.

on hounds front: young connor rooney has hd a week of second places. secong overall in the aquathon series to mike yelverton and now second overall in the sprint tri in dublin to gavin doran his irish triathlon junior squad team mate. connor had a great race overall and this week he sets off with the irish surf lifesaving squad for action

david richardson or mr.eggs waffles and beans again as the student year is almost back into full swing, had a great race even though being slightly hindered by a knee injury coming home as first limerick man in a time of 2:10 the final warm up ahead of lough key next weekend.

it was great to see the limerick tri jerseys in action over the weekend, a fustrated colm turner out with injury would have loved the challenge of facing noble and the other contenders for the title...
